Cauliflower-based pizza looks like a real pizza – thin “dough,” a lot of filling, melted cheese. But the calorie content of such pizza is minimized. So, it will be excellent not only for vegetarians but also for those who lose weight.
One more plus of this pizza is it’s easy to make. And the taste will pleasantly surprise you!
What ingredients will you need:
- 1 cauliflower;
- 100 g of vegan mozzarella cheese (grind);
- ½ tsp. of dried basil;
- ½ tsp.of dried oregano;
- ½ tsp. of salt;
- ½ tsp. of dried garlic;
- 1 egg;
- 8 tbsp. of tomato paste or tomato juice;
- 8 cherry tomatoes (cut in a half);
- ¼ red onion (cut into thin slices);
- ¼ red or yellow pepper (cut into cubes);
- 4 mushrooms (cut into slices), it can be champignons.
How to make vegan cauliflower pizza step by step?
Step 1. Separate cauliflower into inflorescences, then grind it in a blender. It’s supposed to be a granular mixture. Heat the chopped cauliflower in a microwave for 4 minutes, in a dish covered with food film, at the highest temperature.
Step 2. Remove water from cauliflower. Dry it. Add 50g of grind vegan mozzarella, oregano, basil, salt, garlic powder, 1 egg, and mix all thoroughly.
Step 3. Place this mixture on parchment paper and form a round pizza base with your hands. Bake the pizza base at 392 °F in the oven for 15 minutes until the crust.
Step 4. Grease the pizza base with tomato paste, sprinkle the remaining mozzarella on top, layout cherry tomatoes, slices of onion, slices of red pepper and slices of mushrooms. Put the pizza in the oven for another 7-10 minutes.
Cut the pizza into portions and enjoy the taste!
