Are you a fan of chips? But you know that classic chips from the store are not useful and even harmful? Well, I offer you a healthier alternative – baked cucumber chips.
Although the cucumber is 90% water, it is a good base for crispy chips. Because of their neutral taste, cucumber chips can give you the flavor you like. The main thing is to thinly cut the cucumbers, spray with vinegar and sprinkle with salt and spices.
Bake the chips at a minimum temperature for several hours until all the cucumber water has disappeared.
How to cook?
- 5-6 big cucumbers;
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil;
- 0.5 teaspoon of salt;
- 0.5 teaspoon of onion powder;
- 0.5 teaspoon of garlic powder;
- 0.5 glass of grated Cheddar cheese.
Step 1. Slice the cucumbers in thin circles. Add olive oil and mix. Sprinkle the cucumbers slices on both sides with a mixture of spices and place on an oven tray covered with parchment. Place the tray in an oven heated to 175°F. Dry for 3-4 hours or until crispy.
Step 2. At the end sprinkle with grated cheese on top. Watch, that chips aren’t burned.

How to make sauce for baked cucumber chips?
You can prepare a simple and delicious sauce for these chips from avocado.
You’ll need a very soft avocado. Cut the fetus in half, separate the flesh from the rind with a spoon, and place in a bowl. Add the juice of half a lemon and grind until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Cut a couple branches of fresh dill and mix the sauce.
