Apple chips are a fragrant, crisp and delicious diet product. Such a healthy and light snack is much more useful than popular calorie potato chips.
The benefit of dehydrated apple chips is that in the process of preparation apples retain all their useful substances:
– pectin,
– cellulose,
– vitamin C,
– fructose,
– glucose,
– etc.
The usefulness of organic apple chips:
- improve the functioning of the intestines,
- normalize metabolic processes in the body,
- increase immunity,
- help in the removal of heavy metals and toxins,
- have a positive effect on the cardiovascular system.
Apple chips can be bought in stores. But if it’s possible, it’s better to make them at home in the oven or dehydrator. I’ll share the recipe, how to make apple chips in the dehydrator.
Ingredients:
- 4-5 apples,
- cinnamon to taste,
- powdered sugar – optional. You can replace it with stevia powder.
Cooking:
Step 1. Wash the apples, peel them, cut out the seed core.
Step 2. Cut the apples into tidy slices (3-5 mm thick).
Step 3. Put slices of apples on the trays of the dehydrator.
Step 4. Sprinkle slices of apples with stevia powder and cinnamon.
Step 5. Place the trays with apple slices on the dehydrator, first, switch on the high mode (140 °F), then after 3-4 hours move it to the medium mode (122 °F) and bring them to the readiness (another 5-6 hours).
Hot apple chips will be soft, and the cooled ones will crisp, like potatoes chips.
Store organic apple chips better in a glass jar, covered with a fabric that lets air in.
