5 delicious and unusual breakfast ideas with oatmeal

What breakfasts can be made with oats other than the traditional porridge? Here are 5 interesting recipes.

Recipe 1: Oatmeal-Banana Pancakes

You will need five ingredients for these:

  • 2 ripe bananas,
  • 100 grams of oat flakes,
  • 1 egg,
  • 1 tablespoon sugar,
  • 500 ml of skim milk (you can use oat milk instead of cow milk).

How to cook?

Grind oat flakes and bananas in a blender. Add the egg, sugar, milk and mix thoroughly.

Bake the pancakes in a non-stick pan, you cannot add oil.

Recipe 2: Smoothie with oatmeal and yogurt

Steep 3 tablespoons of oatmeal in 50 ml hot milk. Put the oatmeal in a blender and add 200 ml of yogurt. Whisk everything until homogeneous. To taste, add honey, ground nuts, or spices. For example, vanilla, cardamom, or cinnamon will fit perfectly here.

Recipe 3: Granola with oatmeal, nuts, dried fruits, and honey. It takes about half an hour to make.

What will you need?

  • 1 cup of oat flakes, not instant oats, but oats that require boiling,
  • 1.5 tablespoons of sesame seeds,
  • 1.5 tablespoons flax seeds,
  • 100 grams of almonds or any other nuts to taste,
  • 70 g of dried apricots,
  • 1 tablespoon of honey,
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil,
  • 200 ml of yogurt or milk.

Combine the oatmeal, seeds, and almonds (whole or cut into halves). Add honey and olive oil, mix together.

Grease a baking mold with a little olive oil. Put the prepared mixture in it and bake for about half an hour at 160 degrees (320 °F).

Every 5-7 minutes, take it out and stir the granola so that it bakes evenly.

Add dried fruit, such as chopped dried apricots, to the prepared mixture, fill with yogurt or milk.

Recipe 4. Cheese pancakes with flourless oat flakes

A great simple diet recipe without flour and sugar. Prepare 200 grams of cottage cheese, a chicken egg, 4 tablespoons of oatmeal, a third of a teaspoon of salt.

Cooking

First, mix the cottage cheese with salt. Then beat an egg, add oatmeal and mix the mixture until homogeneous. Use a spoon to form small cakes and roll them in the rest of the oat flakes.

You can prepare these cheese pancakes in the oven or in a baking pan. Serve with sour cream, yogurt, jam, whatever you like.

Recipe 5: Morning cappuccino with oat milk

First, we make coffee the usual way. I use ground coffee and a geyser coffee maker. While the coffee is brewing, whip 50 ml of oat milk per 100 ml of coffee into a foam. Add sugar, whipped oat milk, and a pinch of cinnamon to the hot coffee. Enjoy!

For my taste, with oat milk cappuccino is richer and more gentle than with cow’s milk.

Harmony to you and a great mood!
